Amery, Wisconsin is a quaint community, just past the St. Croix River Valley, and only about an hour and a half from the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul. It is a pretty town with lots of parks, and water bordering it on each side. Other nearby towns include Osceola, Somerset and New Richmond.
Lake Wapogasset at about 1,400 acres, and connected to Bear Trap Lake on the south. This water body is widely popular for great fishing and all recreational activities, and is highly sought after for its lakeshore real estate. However there are many lakes in the area to choose from plus the Apple River. The Apple River is on the east side of Amery and its flowage borders the entire community.
