Greater Bemidji Lakes Area
The Bemidji Region is broken out to cover the Greater Bemidji area and surrounding areas in Beltrami and Clearwater County, plus the Cass Lake Chain just to the east. It will also include parts of Hubbard County and north toward Red Lake. Bemidji is an active college community with an attractive downtown that sits directly on Lake Bemidji and the Mississippi River. Very much a business and educational hub for Northern Minnesota, the many lakes that surround the town create plenty of options for the large professional and business base that lives here. There are probably not as many smaller weekend lake cabins as there are to the south in Cass County, as the drive time from the Twin Cities can get a bit long. But it has great proximity to Grand Forks and is a popular waterfront destination for those residents.
