Leech Lake/Longville/Hackensack Area

Most Minnesotans are familiar with Leech Lake due to its frontage on the popular resort town of Walker, and the many shops and restaurants that reside there. In addition, with over 100,000 acres of great fishing, boating and additional boat-in restaurants and bars, there is no shortage of fun to be had for residents and their visitors. Lake homes and cabins on Leech, along with the neighboring vacation towns of Hackensack and Longville to the south, tend to be more of the “lake feel” that so many lakeshore buyers have in mind, complete with large pines that are common in Northern Minnesota. Log homes, chalet designs, and older “grandma and grandpa” cabins adorn the high concentration of lakes throughout Cass County. Other popular, larger lakes in the area are Birch Lake, Ten Mile Lake and the Woman Lake Chain.
