Buying a Second Home on a Lake – Feb 6, 2014

February 6, 2014 By Dan Anderson Leave a Comment

In 2013 we began to see a lot of lake home buyers come back into the market again who were getting near retirement age.  In fact, about 90% of our waterfront buyers last year were in their 50s and 60s, and each of them was looking for about the same type of lake property. Little or no elevation, sand beaches for grand kids (even if they didn’t have any yet), and structures in good condition were the major factors they had in mind.

In my 25 years as a lake property specialist, one thing never changes:  There are always a lot of lake properties on the market – but there are relatively few good ones.  And if nearly everyone is looking for the same thing, then you need to move fast when it comes available.

At Lakehomes.com Realty, we make sure our buyers get the best new listings as soon as they become available.  2014 looks like it may be a great year for Minnesota and Wisconsin lake property sales, so let us make sure you don’t miss out.
